 1. | Know the ZAnet Server Rules above. |
| 2. | No Vulgar Language! |
| 3. | No hate speech, gossip, slander or abuse of any user on the # main will be tolerated. |
| 4. | Harassment, sexism & racism has no place in #islam. |
| 5. | Social chatting is allowed on main # as long as discretion is used and you behave as a reasonable person would behave in a channel called islam. |
| 6. | Ambiguously offensive and unislamic nicks are not allowed. ( in the event of uncertainty, please clarify with an OP ) |
| 7. | Do not beg for OPS! as this would put you in a negative light. Rather have another AOP nominate you. |
| 8. | Repeat offenders will be labelled as troublemakers & (the person) may be put on a permanent ban. |
| 3. Rules for #islam OPS |
| 1. | Know the General #islam Rules above. |
| 2. | OPS should strive to maintain a level of justice, fairness and tolerance. |
| 3. | Always act in the best interest of the channel. |
| 4. | No personal kicks or bans are allowed. |
| 5. | What happens off channel, stays off channel! |
| 6. | If an OP is abused in private, he/she should be able to deal with it in private & not resort hastily to a ban except where rule 8 applies. |
| 7. | If someone requests that a user be banned for his/her abusive behavior in private, advise the complainant about the /ignore command. |
| 8. | However, if there are additional complaints about the same user, institute the ban (Refer to Rule 3) . |
| 9. | OPS should not resort to petty behavior by instituting bans for trivial reasons. |
| 10. | OPS who unban legitimate bans will be removed from the BabyServ list. |
| 11.a) | All BLATANTLY offensive and unislamic nicks are to be banned on sight. |
| 11.b) | In the event of an ambiguously offensive nick, please message the user and politely ask them the meaning of the nick and if you consider it offensive ask them to change the nick. If there is uncertainty please message another OP for advice. |
| 11.c) | Nicks like 'hot', 'acid', 'romeo', 'DJ' etc are NOT to be banned. These are 'ambiguous' nicks that amount to nothing. |
| 11.d) | However a nick such as acid_rocks which is blatantly drug related, institute the ban. Please use your discretion intelligently and maintain a sense of justice at all times. |
| 12. | The # should be moderated (+m) whenever there is an islamic discussion (or any other interesting discussion of relevance) and no social chatting will be allowed, except greetings, and this does not entail flooding of peoples nicks! |
| 13. | In the event of any dispute, the final decision rests with the SOPS, who will assess the situation to the best of their ability, and in keeping with the principles of islamic justice and fairness, InshaAllah. |
| 14. | Anybody purposefully trying to cause or instigate trouble, may be removed from the channel. Use your discretion carefully! |
| 15. | OPS are not to remove another OPS' bans without consulting with them. If they aren't present, use your discretion. |
| 16. | Ban periods are indefinate & decided by the enforcer. |
| 17. | Last OP to leave the channel should moderate it (+m), to prevent troublemakers from causing havoc whilst their being no OPS |
| 18. | Channel mode should be +Mntc at ALL times. |
| 19. | SOPS/AOPS/HOPS are not to give their nick password to anyone in order to gain ops. The nick WILL be removed from the BabyServ list. |
| 20. | AOPS are to OP HOPS @ all times. |
| 21. | Ignorance of these rules are not an excuse. |
